lots of things we do in therapy we also do in judo.  Judo is fun.  Judo can be started at any time of life.  Yadda yadda yadda. 

Traditional Kodokan Judo recognizes many uses of judo in addition to shiai.  Self defense, fitness, and tradition for tradition’s sake, for instance.  TKJ takes longer to get good at, but once you do, it is more powerful than squash-em-gatami.  Also safer.
